Pride Interfaith Knoxville (PIK) brings together diverse faith communities and individuals to support, uplift, and advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community in the greater Knoxville area. Our work centers on compassion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to justice. We engage in advocacy while expanding our focus on education, programming, and community-building events.

Our Work

How We Serve

Our efforts span advocacy, education, community programming, and meaningful gatherings throughout the year.

Advocacy & Public Witness

Pride Interfaith Knoxville participates in advocacy efforts that promote the dignity, safety, and rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals. We partner with organizations such as the Tennessee Equality Project for events like Equality Day on the Hill, where our members meet with legislators, share stories, and stand against discriminatory legislation. Our advocacy is grounded in faith-based values of justice, compassion, and human dignity.

Education, Training & Capacity-Building

We are developing educational programs and training opportunities for congregations, faith leaders, and community members. These offerings aim to deepen understanding, strengthen inclusive practices, and equip people of faith to better support LGBTQIA+ individuals in their communities.

Programs & Community Support

Pride Interfaith Knoxville is expanding its programming to address the spiritual, emotional, and practical needs of LGBTQIA+ people in Knoxville. Through partnerships and community-centered initiatives, we work to create spaces where all people feel affirmed, supported, and connected.

Events & Community Gatherings

As our work evolves, Pride Interfaith Knoxville is shifting from hosting the annual interfaith Pride service to offering a broader range of events throughout the year. These include observances such as National Coming Out Day, Transgender Day of Remembrance, and other gatherings that honor, uplift, and support the LGBTQIA+ community. These events create opportunities for reflection, solidarity, celebration, and interfaith connection.
